When should my Munchkin start vaccinations?
Most Munchkin kittens start their first FVRCP between 6 and 8 weeks in the US, or 8 to 9 weeks in the UK and EU. Use the form above with your kitten's age and country to see the next-due date.
My Munchkin has short legs. Does that affect vaccines?
No. The vaccine schedule is unchanged. Munchkins' shorter legs affect mobility (jumping, climbing) but not immune response or vaccine timing.
Does my Munchkin need outdoor non-core vaccines?
Munchkins are typically indoor cats due to mobility considerations. FeLV is recommended through the first-year booster regardless; after year one, indoor-only Munchkins can usually drop FeLV.
Are Munchkins more sensitive to vaccine reactions?
Not specifically. Munchkins follow the standard FVRCP schedule. Their breed-specific concerns are joint and back-related, not immune.
Same schedule for a Munchkin mix?
Yes. FVRCP, and rabies where the law or travel requires it, are the same for purebreds and mixes. So is FeLV, which is core for kittens under one year (AAHA/AAFP); for adult cats it depends on lifestyle, not breed. The schedule above works for any Munchkin mix.
