When should my Russian Blue start vaccinations?

Most Russian Blue kittens start their first FVRCP between 6 and 8 weeks in the US, or 8 to 9 weeks in the UK and EU. Use the form above with your kitten's age and country to see the next-due date.

Is my Russian Blue more sensitive to vaccine reactions?

Not specifically. Russian Blues are generally healthy with no breed-specific vaccine concerns. Standard FVRCP schedule applies.

Does my Russian Blue need FeLV?

AAFP recommends FeLV through the first-year booster for every kitten. Russian Blues are typically indoor companion cats; after year one, confirmed indoor-only adults can usually drop FeLV.

Should my Russian Blue get split visits?

Generally not necessary. Russian Blues tolerate combined visits well. Their reserved temperament can make appointments quieter than average.

Same schedule for a Russian Blue mix?

Yes. FVRCP, and rabies where the law or travel requires it, are the same for purebreds and mixes. So is FeLV, which is core for kittens under one year (AAHA/AAFP); for adult cats it depends on lifestyle, not breed. The schedule above works for any Russian Blue mix.
